1.1 This Modern Slavery Statement is made pursuant to the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (Section 54) by G-TEK IT Limited (trading as G-TEK Computers & Electronics), a computer hardware and electronics retailer based in Ecclesfield, Sheffield, S35 9YY, United Kingdom.<\/p>

1.2 This statement sets out the steps we take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain and business operations. We are committed to conducting our business ethically and responsibly, and we recognise that slavery and human trafficking can occur at any point in the supply chain.<\/p>

G-TEK IT Limited is a small to medium-sized computer hardware retailer and repair service provider. Our business operations include:<\/p>

Product sales: Computer components, peripherals, monitors, and accessories to customers in the UK<\/p>

Repair services: Hardware repair for gaming consoles (Xbox, PlayStation, Steam Deck), gaming PCs, laptops, and mobile devices<\/p>

Parts procurement: Sourcing and importing small repair components (screens, ports, batteries, thermal paste, cables, connectors) for use in our repair operations<\/p>

## 3. OUR SUPPLY CHAIN<\/p>

3.1 Primary suppliers<\/p>

We work with a limited number of trusted suppliers:<\/p>

These countries are selected based on quality, reliability, and cost. However, we acknowledge that some of these regions carry elevated risks for labour exploitation.<\/p>

## 4. DUE DILIGENCE & RISK ASSESSMENT<\/p>

4.1 Supplier assessment process<\/p>

When onboarding new suppliers, G-TEK conducts the following due diligence:<\/p>

Company background check: Verification of business registration, years in operation, and reputation<\/p>

Initial questionnaire: Questions about labour practices, wages, working hours, and workforce composition<\/p>

Certifications & standards: Request for evidence of compliance with ISO standards, labour certifications, or ethical trading frameworks (e.g., BSCI, SA8000, APSCA)<\/p>

On-site inspection (where possible): For larger suppliers, we request or conduct visits to assess factory conditions<\/p>

Reference checks: Requests for references from other customers or third-party audit reports<\/p>

4.2 Risk assessment<\/p>

We have assessed the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain as low to moderate, based on:<\/p>

Low-risk factors:<\/p>

Small volume of imports (repair parts only, not bulk component sourcing)<\/p>

Short, direct supply chain with limited intermediaries<\/p>

Established relationships with known suppliers<\/p>

UK-based primary supplier with strong ethical standards<\/p>

Moderate-risk factors:<\/p>

Imports from countries with higher incidence of labour exploitation (China, Vietnam, India)<\/p>

Limited on-site inspection capacity due to business size<\/p>

Reliance on supplier self-reporting and certifications<\/p>

Mitigation strategy: We regularly review supplier practices, request updated compliance documentation, and maintain open communication about labour standards.<\/p>

## 5. OUR POLICIES & COMMITMENT<\/p>

5.1 Labour standards<\/p>

G-TEK is committed to the following labour standards across our business and supply chain:<\/p>

No forced labour: We will not knowingly source from suppliers who use forced, bonded, or trafficked labour<\/p>

No child labour: We will not source from suppliers who employ children below the legal minimum working age in their jurisdiction<\/p>

Fair wages: We expect suppliers to pay wages that meet at least the legal minimum wage and provide a living wage where possible<\/p>

Working hours: Suppliers must comply with legal limits on working hours, with reasonable rest periods and time off<\/p>

Safe working conditions: Suppliers must maintain safe, hygienic workplaces and provide appropriate protective equipment<\/p>

No discrimination: Suppliers must not discriminate on grounds of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics<\/p>

Freedom of association: Suppliers must respect workers' rights to join unions and engage in collective bargaining (where legally permitted)<\/p>

Responsible recruitment: Suppliers must employ workers on a voluntary basis with clear employment contracts<\/p>

5.2 Code of conduct for suppliers<\/p>

All new suppliers are provided with our Supplier Code of Conduct (available on request), which sets out our minimum standards on:<\/p>

Environmental responsibility<\/p>

Anti-corruption and bribery<\/p>

Data protection and privacy<\/p>

Suppliers are expected to acknowledge receipt and agreement with this code as a condition of supply.<\/p>

5.3 Internal policies<\/p>

G-TEK maintains the following internal policies to prevent modern slavery:<\/p>

Staff awareness training: All G-TEK staff receive induction training on recognising signs of modern slavery and human trafficking<\/p>

Whistleblowing procedure: Employees and external parties can report suspected modern slavery concerns confidentially (see section 7)<\/p>

Ethical procurement: Staff responsible for supplier management are trained on ethical procurement and due diligence<\/p>

No tolerance policy: G-TEK has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in any form<\/p>

6.1 Ongoing monitoring<\/p>

G-TEK monitors supplier compliance through:<\/p>

Annual compliance questionnaires: Suppliers complete annual attestations confirming ongoing compliance with labour standards<\/p>

Site visits (where feasible): For larger suppliers or new relationships, we conduct or request independent audits<\/p>

Third-party audits: We review audit reports from recognised third parties (e.g., BSCI, Intertek, SGS, APSCA) if available<\/p>

Communication: We maintain regular contact with suppliers and ask questions about any changes in their labour practices<\/p>

Red flag monitoring: We monitor news, industry reports, and industry databases for any alerts regarding our suppliers<\/p>

6.2 Non-compliance<\/p>

If we identify evidence of modern slavery, forced labour, or child labour in a supplier's operations, we will:<\/p>

1. Immediately escalate the issue to senior management
2. Request evidence from the supplier of remediation steps
3. Conduct further investigation if the concern is substantiated
4. Suspend supply if the supplier does not address the issue within a reasonable timeframe
5. Terminate the relationship if serious violations are found and remediation is refused or inadequate
6. Report to authorities if there is evidence of criminal activity<\/p>

We recognise that some suppliers may need time and support to improve practices, and we are willing to work with them where good-faith remediation efforts are evident. However, we will not tolerate deliberate or serious violations.<\/p>

Training is provided during onboarding and refreshed annually.<\/p>
